Minor Myers, Jr. once said, "Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good."
My classroom is nestled in a rural area that contains many diverse ways of life.
It is full of kiddos striving to learn, fit in, make a difference, and express empathy on a daily basis.
These kiddos never cease to amaze me...they are a tight group and so supportive of one another. I am so very proud of them.
Empathy is a way of life in our classroom, and my prayer is that it is something they will continue to practice once out in the world and on their own.
My Project
In 4th grade, our standards include research- and a lot of writing! This involves research from a variety of sources, including the array of knowledge from the world wide web.
Some of the projects my students have enjoyed include research on dog breeds, information about famous people, and topics of their choice.
The students love to get on the computers, but have to share; which makes it difficult when they are not researching the same item.
With more Chromebooks, it will allow the students to progress at their own pace, as well as build confidence in completing their assignment.
