This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My "crew" is a classroom that works hard every day! The crew consists of 15 charming students and one caring teacher. We love learning and want to enhance our classroom experience with interesting and useful activities!

Our students come from varied backgrounds, but hard work and the desire to succeed is one thing we all have in common.

Our classroom is fun, engaging, and a second home for all my children. I try to do everything that I can to make them feel at home and welcome in our class environment. We are always laughing, smiling, and having fun learning new things. As a class, we do not let our differences stop us from achieving our educational goals!

My Project

I teach a variety of students. General education and exceptional education learners in one classroom with varying lexile scores and abilities. Learning styles and speeds vary greatly. Many of my students relate better with visual aids or materials they can touch, feel and see everyday. 3rd grade Social Studies explores the continents, oceans, rivers, lakes and many physical features within the continents. This rug will benefit my students greatly as it will be used to create station activities, enjoy story time and utilized daily as a visual aid necessary for the variety of students in my classroom. I'm sure it's a piece they will gravitate towards daily.
