Help me give my students the opportunity to develop there motor skills and explore concepts like early math, geometry, problem-solving, and cause and effect.
Learning through play is an essential part of early child development. When children are allowed to play, they are given the opportunity to learn how to learn. Play allows children to develop the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills they need to become successful adults.
My students LOVE learning through play!
Being able to play helps them to develop a sense of wonder, curiosity, problem-solving, and flexibility. It also helps to builds their self-confidence, cooperation, kindness, respect, and empathy towards others.
My Project
My special education preschool students would greatly benefit from a new classroom wooden block set, a storage bin for our existing wooden ramps and balls, and new set of arch blocks.
Our "Wonderful World of Wooden Blocks" project is intended to help further develop fine motor and gross motor skills, as well as explore concepts such as early math, geometry, problem-solving, and cause and effect.
Playing with wooden blocks will also help my students learn to take turns and share materials, develop new friendships, increase attention span, cooperate with others, and develop self-confidence.
