Help me give my students a positive watercolor experience in the elementary art room. Basic supplies are needed to make sure all students can enjoy the joy of painting. Please support my talented students in the arts!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My art students are in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade and are amazing artists! Creativity is a huge part of who we are and the arts allow students to think outside the box. Whether it is drawing, painting, sculpting or anything in between school art programs do make an impact of learning. You can make a difference by supporting our DonorsChoose proposal.
My students deserve to have the best art experience that I can provide and my students have talents that make me want more for them.
My students are 99% free/reduced-priced lunch and have limited resources and supplies. I need to replenish my supplies and this project will give me the opportunity to allow their creativity to soar beyond their imagination.
Unfortunately, my district doesn't have the funds to supply my art program and I usually spend a lot out of my own pocket per year. So my students can get the experiences all kids should have. I go to garage sales, estate sales, have used supplies donated and shop for best prices. Art supplies are consumed at a quick pace in our classroom. So there is always a need for supplies.
My Project
My students will be able to experience a new way of painting using quality watercolors with a variety of materials and supplies. We will be using traditional techniques and using tools that can be found in the students own home to further their knowledge of the arts. They love painting and I love teaching them how to make it shine!
Please support my art classroom because my students deserve to have supplies that reflect their talents and gifts of creativity.
My lessons utilize cross-curricular explorations and STEM components to give my students a more rounded exposure to the world around them. Watercolors are about feeling through the subject. By increasing or decreasing colors the paintings come alive. We need supplies because they are consumed on a daily basis with the exception of the brushes. My students love painting, are truly talented in visual arts and need to experience watercolors like artists deserve to! Thank you.
