My students are an inspiration to me when it comes to music education. They are excited sponges that just love to absorb knowledge and expand their creative selves. It truly amazing how quick they learn new things.

My students are absolutely amazing and they love music. They come to music once a week and they just want to play all the instruments and participate. My music classes are full of singing, movement, and instrument playing.
My Project
A music lesson or performance is so much more than just sound. We live in a fast-moving and flashy age, where we teachers need to step it up to the next level to truly reach our students. I saw a performance with Lady Gaga and it was complete with a 3 story castle that filled the stage, that had lights and lasers around it. Then I saw a performance of the DJ Marshmello who my students love and his set was filled with lights, lasers, and fireworks timed to the music. So as a music teacher, I need to find a way to bring this type of experience into my classroom. I started a few years back by adding black lights and glow stuff in my room. The students were so excited, which led to a more productive class. I am a firm believer that if you can connect with your students and get them excited, then they will naturally learn through fun. Plus my room should be an extenuation of music that is relevant for them. This is why I am asking for a few laser lights, some more black lights, and some glow guitar strings in order to make our performances come alive.
