Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My Boy's and Girls' athletes are challenged with many obstacles daily.Not only are we faced with being located in a red zone area, but we have to deal with the local gangs and heavy crime. All of my athletes come from low-income households and they receive free lunch which is a federal funded project. As the head coach of the Track and Field program, I am challenge with the responsibility of teaching them the proper way to train for their sport. In doing so I am in need of the proper equipment to be able to do so.

My Project

By having a speed sled, the athletes will be able to increase the ability to run faster with resistant running. The speed bans that have been chosen will also assist with the speed training as well as the recovery and stretching process. The trampoline will allow many athletes to train without the everyday ware and tare on their bodies. Lastly, the parachutes will allow for the athletes to get the speed resistant training but with a little bit less force as the power sled. This allows us to do many athletes at one time and allow the athlete to cut back on the recovery time
