Help me give my students organizational tools such as file folders, writing center organizer, library dividers, storage cabinet, pens, and other supplies.
I teach 18 hard working, silly, and amazing first grade students in a small East Texas town. I have taught first grade for 15 years and been a member of ATPE for all 15. I love what I do and love ATPE. My students love to work with hands-on activities, make creative art projects and play games. My students do not respond as positively to worksheets or seat work activities as they do to physically manipulating the words, letters, or manipulatives. My students love to work in centers or sing songs to learn new concepts. I strive to make my classroom a fun and exciting learning environment.
My Project
Every student remembers the fun things like games, field trips, science experiments, and recess, but none of this happens without basic organization and basic supplies such as storage boxes, pens, and basic teacher tools. These basic classroom materials and tools really add up, but they are a must have in an elementary classroom. We are asking for an awesome storage cabinet that will allow us to keep our games and supplies organized and taken care of. I want my students to take pride in our classroom materials and help me keep them organized and ready to use at any time. The writing storage box will allow us to keep our materials organized and ready to use.
