This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 100 fourth grade bilingual students. They are full of life and come in ready to learn!! All of my students receive free lunch. Their families struggle financially and asking them to pay extra for this magazine would be out of the question. My students want to learn and are excited about learning! We are an inner city school, with funding issues and work daily to give our students the best we can. It is a challenge but exciting!

My Project

My students love to experience real life situations. TIME for KIDS does exactly that! It gives them a chance to learn about the outside world and make personal and real world connections. This is what learning is all about!! Most of these students don't have opportunities like other kids and I feel like this magazine will give them a chance to engage in the world around us!

TIME for KIDS is a great way to increase reading loves and a love for Non -fiction reading.

This is exactly what they need to help them move to the next level in their learning!
