My Students

Can you imagine having to play with the same old toys day after day? This is what my students are facing when we have to stay indoors for recess.

First graders are very creative and active.

However, they need to have materials that allow them to be creatively active in appropriate ways. My students need time each day to develop independent social interaction skills. This time of the day is recess. However, when it is cold or rainy outside, we are forced to stay in. Because I don't have age appropriate games for my students to play, we usually resort to watching cartoons, which doesn't allow my students the time they need to interact with each other.

My Project

I am asking for 7 classic childhood games, many of which I remember playing as a child myself. I know that these games will be TREASURES to my students. They LOVE playing in imaginative ways and am so excited to see what they do when they have the materials they need to do so. Please, help my students get games like Poppa’s Pizza Topple Game, Classic Games for Beginners, and much more.

Many of my students come from homes where parents can't afford to buy new games. Having games in the classroom for them to play will allow them the experience they deserve.
