My students need interactive notebooks, pencils, and glue sticks to document our day to day life in biology. The interactive notebook would hold their daily bellwork, class/worksheets, and weekly quizzes.
My students from Oklahoma are the future scientists we need in our society.
My learners are constantly learning, exploring and challenging the world.
I'm a biology teacher in a co-taught classroom and we serve around 150 learners with the majority of them being on an IEP. Due to the fact that we are in a co-taught class serving majority students on an IEP, the students we have varied in different grade levels. But their passion for biology still persist.
My students are intimidated by science, therefore I want to provide a tool and passage for them to see that science is a build up of little success, beginning with a notebook. I want to see more students proclaim excitedly "I want to be a scientist now!"
My Project
My students need interactive notebooks, pencils, and glue sticks to document our day to day life in biology. The interactive notebook would hold their daily bellwork, class/worksheets, and weekly quizzes. I want to instill in my students that it takes time to become better, and it includes being reflective of your work. Through our interactive notebook, our students can not only find a routine they can stick with they are also provided a powerful tool in which they can visualize their growth as young scientists. I want my students to be able to show off their interactive notebooks and pinpoint where and what they learned on the daily basis.
Reflection is a huge part in our biology class, we are not only reflective of our work but also the impact of our world through science.
Our students utilize the interactive notebook as a way to showcase their progress within our class.
