I teach English to high school students in upstate New York. Our area was home to many corporations and small businesses, but as the economy has shifted, so has this area. My goal is to encourage our students to become successful, future members of society in the hopes they will give back to the area they grew up in.
I am always looking for ways to engage and motivate my students when starting, working through, and completing different units.
They respond well to real-world and hands-on experiences, so I always try to find those opportunities for them. Please consider supporting these students in their next learning adventure!
My Project
My students have been awesome since returning to school full-time this year, especially after all the craziness with Covid, virtual learning, and hybrid learning. I love having them back in my room, and I am always looking to provide them with the things they need or would enjoy having.
I would like to continue to give my students snacks, and I would also like a coat rack so they can hang up their belongings in my room.
My students leave their winter coats, sports bags, purses, etc. in my classroom, mainly because they are too bulky yo fit in their lockers. I would like a coat rack to give them a designated spot to put these items. I also would like more snacks to provide for them, and I have requested mini pop-it fidget toys to give my students as a little surprise holiday gift. All of these items will be located in the "student spot" in my classroom, and any student will have access.
