Our classroom community is a high paced environment with no time to spare. Students transition between interactive notebooks, vocabulary development, STEM activities, Science Inquiry, and reading/writing in the content area.
I like to keep on the cutting edge by running a hybrid classroom where students can complete science labs in a collaborative virtual setting utilizing technology.
My students come from a low income high poverty area but are eager and willing to learn. Students love any activity that involves the use of technology.
Have you every tried making YouTube style learning videos without a mic and headset? Well to say the least, it's difficult especially when you have a large group of students all trying to do the same thing at the same time. Please help my students achieve success with new headphones that have microphones.
The headsets will be used for a variety of inquiry based activities that encourage students to create one of kind learning modules about various Earth Science related topics.
Examples include youtube style fossil types learning videos and newscast about Earth Biomes. I find that student retention and understanding of abstract Science topics is improved when related to real world experiences.
My technology heavy classroom community depends on the latest and greatest but we always struggle to fund our dreams. I thank you for taking an interest in the education of our future and appreciate any donations.
