Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic and enthusiastic to explore new avenues. They love learning the arts and sciences. We try to explore anything, every chance we get. Making science projects and theater on Mondays is their greatest joy. Recreating plays is also an activity they enjoy.

100% of my students qualify for free lunch.

Most of my students live in apartments, thus they hardly go outside and explore their talents. Because of their living environment, we make it a point to teach everything hands-on. We have theater classes about California and the civil war. We also have mid and end of the year performances, to see them shine!

My Project

Music in their ears is what all students need! My students are very artistic, and music driven. They enjoy performing wether, they are asked to sing, dance, or act. They have written math, science, social studies songs. Now, I would like to ask them to learn to play an instrument. My goal is to perform for the school, during our next performance assembly. I’m hoping that by introducing them to the recorder, they will be excited and motivated to join “Band” in sixth grade. Integrating the Arts in all subjects is my upmost goal. Let music reign in our students’

lives!
