My Students

I teach third grade at a Title I school. I currently have 15 students who are such a blessing to teach. They genuinely love to learn and their positive attitudes are contagious.

In addition to teaching, I also lead a drama club for the third to fifth grade students at our school.

I currently have 24 students signed up to perform in the drama club. We will be presenting the Wizard of Oz in May. Students are enthusiastic about this club.

My Project

My drama team will be performing The Wizard of Oz in May. Each of my 24 students have a speaking part in the production. They are very excited to perform for their school as well as the community. The supplies ordered for my project will be used to create the music and props in the show. My students will not only be acting but they will be learning how to use their artistic ability to paint and create sets as well as trees for props. Some students will be using the musical instruments we are purchasing to make music for certain scenes. They will be working with our music teacher to learn their cues and how to use the instruments appropriately. I want the students to have a part in all aspects of this production to teach them about the various areas of drama and the importance that everyone has in the show.
