Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from a variety of cultures, with over half of our school population consisting of non-native English speakers. Much of our population consist of students of deployed, reintegration or retired military personnel. This can sometimes create barriers to traditional and conventional teaching. Despite the challenges they face, they are still energetic, fun-loving, and eager to learn.

The students we serve are eager to learn and trust in knowing we will provide them with as much love as possible.

My kids are awesome, funny and happy students who work together to build a great community. I am the ambassador of their education and want to make sure they have lasting memories of their academic years.

My Project

As a school counselor, I am excited to promote not only the academic, but the social and emotional development in all students. In my role, I will have the pleasure of servicing many students from a variety of countries, ethnic backgrounds, and diverse needs.

I want my students to be seen and heard, and these diverse and multicultural items will help my students to feel more inclusive and respected.

All I want is for my students to feel loved and never feel alone or different. I never want a child to feel isolated, unwanted or treated differently because of the way they were created. With these awesome resources, I will always be prepared to help my students. The multicultural family magnets will be extremely helpful in classroom guidance lessons. The skin color paper will help my students create projects that reflect their true melanin and help captivate the students' culture.
