Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are awesome, even when they aren't. I love to see how, even during these times, they love to learn from ME! We are teaching/learning virtually and they are striving. It helps that their parents are being very patient...we aren't always up to it and that's ok. We are only human.
Virtual learning is not easy, but it's what's safe right now.
Digital resources would really come in handy, but the best ones aren't free. In just a week, my students seem to have a grip on this thing we call virtual learning. They are genuinely enjoying it and don't seem to want to log off, but their attention spans are not as big as their imaginations.
My Project
My classroom really needs updated pretend and learn center furniture. It has a lot of years on it and time has taken its toll on it. We are teaching virtually and we miss the classroom. We miss the first day criers, the first day helpers and even the first day tiredness.
The need for digital resources was never more significant.
COVID-19 has made technology our nonstop daily platform. Virtual teaching/learning has taken on a more severe role. The best way to accomplish our learning goals is with the best resources.
There's only so much we can do with free digital tools and we are tapped with our own out of pocket spending. Digital resources would greatly help with our virtual assignments and assessments, because we are still held accountable...maybe more than before.
