Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am teaching in an inner city school where most students are below the poverty level. These children do not have the luxury of having a computer at home therefore they need the experience of using technology to prepare them for the 21st Century.

The District is facing an enormous deficit this year and will be unable to provide supplies or equipment for students. I will purchase all the school supplies and try and get donated computers to use with software but having a new computer that is Internet ready will be a plus.

Students will see the world they are reading about by using the computer and taking virtual field trips. They will also be able to search the web to get the information they need for reports and they will also be able to use the computer for enrichment of a particular skill or remediation of a particular skill.

Your donation of a computer will help get my students prepare for their future. It will be impossible for my students to compete in the real world when they are lacking the needed skills. Thank you
