Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a fourth-grade teacher in a large pre-K-8 school. Most if not all of my students come from lower income families. Many of these children face poverty, violence, and obscenities of life that are well beyond what most of us could imagine on a daily basis.
My students need a set of Pop & Match Phonics Games, Phonics Instant Learning Centers - Complete Set, and Black Write & Wipe Markers - Thin-Line - Set of 4 to make learning fun!
There are 25 students in my fourth grade class. They come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds and very low income families. All children at my school receive free lunch and snack daily. Many of them do not have basic school supplies and other necessary items. Despite all of the challenges these students face in their daily lives, each one of them comes to school ready to learn and succeed.
My Project
With the Phonics Instant Learning Centers, my students will explore vowel sounds, decode 2-syllable words, master prefixes & suffixes, and more.
With the Pop & Match phonics games my students will be able to learn phonics and spelling skills while having fun.
This games will especially benefit my lower level learners by allowing them to practice and review key reading skills and strategies! The Stack & Build Simple Words set will maintain my students stacking on new beginning or ending sound tiles to build lots of new words during center time. It is going to be fun for my students!
