Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students like to be rewarded often. Every Thursday students are allowed to choose one thing from the treasure box. I love to create a consistent and enjoyable incentive system that allows them to celebrate their personal accomplishments. Now, as they work to achieve their goals my students can look forward to our weekly celebrations. Our treasure box incentives help them realize that their efforts are valued and appreciated. Adding the chair is going to be something that they look forward. They love to make sure they are being acknowledged for doing a great job!

My students are always excited to earn a reward and will be excited to have a new chair to add has a reward for their great behavior.

When we are comfortable and happy, we work better!

As a reward, I would would like the students have my chair for the day. This reward can make the students feel special and help all students remain on task. Once a week, the student of the week will be chosen and will be allowed to have my chair.

That is why I am asking for an adult sized chair for students to use.

Having an additional chair will allow me to let a student be student of the week. Positive choices lead to positive rewards. This cause and effect relationship is a win-win for everyone!
