This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have an inquisitive group of middle school students who are always eager to learn. They attend a Title I school where they all qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Nearly all of them come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. For many of my students, school is the only place where they have access to the use of technology. Despite the obstacles, my students come to school every day to a place where they are being molded into great students and learners.

My Project

Having the tablets will allow for small group instruction.

My students enjoy using technology every chance they get.

I have students that are at different reading levels and I need to be able to use leveled reading books for each lesson and for reading groups. Throughout the year, students read a lot of books.

Since my students love reading, the tablets would keep them interested in reading books because it is giving them a different way to read. Using technology is a great area of interest and they will be increasing their reading skills along the way and enjoying every minute of it.
