My students attend a rural school outside of a rapidly growing town with the mountains in its backyard. They love learning new things and enjoy being challenged.
My students view the classroom as a safe space to express themselves academically and emotionally.
Having smaller class sizes helps us to really focus on each child's individual needs and allows them to thrive. We also do a lot of hands-on learning, allowing them to dig deeper and really think outside the box.
My Project
My classroom has always been set for cooperative learning. A lot of hands-on activities and projects take place, and my kids love it. I want my students to have the power of choice. Choosing a seat or area in the room that allows them to do their best work can be very powerful.
Making sure students are comfortable in their environment is important and allows them to take charge of their own learning.
The products that I have chosen will give my students more options. The donut ball will benefit those kids that need to move constantly. The yoga cushions will give them a new option to sit closer to the floor with a table to work on. The pillows and foam will give them more flexibility when choosing a space in the room.
