My students need 30 LCD Boogie Boards to use with math, science and other subjects. Having these would eliminate the use of paper and help us "go green!"
I am currently a 4th-grade team teacher with close to two decades of experience.
At this time, I teach Science, Social Studies, and Math at a Pre K-5th grade school.
My school has five hundred forty-four students. Both my students and I are drawn toward creative projects and we love to create powerful, curriculum-based projects. As the teacher, I love incorporating more with making commercials and dealing with economics. As a Science teacher, I love incorporating lessons that helps students understand our environment and hands-on lessons with gardening, etc.

As a teacher, I see how powerful all tools can be. I know Boogie Boards would be an asset to my math, social studies and science classroom!

Less paper but NOT less work! Boogie Boards LCD writing tools meshed with the curriculum, can bring expectations to new heights! A set of classroom Boogie Boards would help us in so many ways.
I could create activities meshed with math activities for to use this tool. We live in a world filled with technology unlike ever before. At times, though, it is difficult for schools to receive additional funding for extra resources. According to the site it says: "The revolutionary Reflex LCD featured in the Boogie Board Original 8.5 eWriter retains an image indefinitely without power until you press the erase button to clear the screen. Great for children to practice writing and playing games..." I could place them in centers for math activities which would alleviate a need for excessive paper use. Students could use this to "figure out their problems' on this tool instead. The Boogie Board tablet's pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard you push, just like paper & pen. In short, it could allow us activities without the constant waste of paper!
It is no secret that additional technology money is not always available for the extra technology accessories and tools.
I am asking your help to bring a classroom set of 30 Boogie Boards to my classroom. Believe me, when I say, my students could definitely use a set of 30 boogie boards! Help us go green with these boards. Your consideration is appreciated!
