My Students

Do you remember the excitement of being called on to go to the board to solve a problem? With an easel, every student can experience seeing their writing visible in the classroom.

My third grade class this year has 24 fabulous students.

We have 4 other third grade classes in our K-4th grade school. There are over 600 students in my building. My students are discovering the joy of writing this year. Daily they have a writing project, including editing that begins with a morning message and responses. Morning messages are written on chart paper along with responses and shared during the school year.

My Project

An easel will help tremendously in the classroom. Currently I have a small tabletop easel that sits on the floor. Students must sit on the floor or strain their necks to read what is on the chart. Having an easel will allow them to stand next to the easel to share their thoughts on the morning message. The dry-erase side will help with all other academics.

A simple easel can make a huge impact in my classroom.

It will allow students to share their thoughts with the class during morning messages. It will allow for easier access when working on spelling words or math problems.
