My Students

As an educator in an urban, high-poverty district, funding and opportunities for my students are limited. Although they face challenges each day both in and out of the classroom, I see their potential and will do whatever it takes to inspire, teach, and help my students thrive.

My scholars are creative, hopeful, and deserve only the very best education and experiences.

Many students in my classroom want to learn and are working towards a better "them" each and every day. We work on academics, but also we engage in social and emotional learning, as well as life skills and interactions. I am passionate about watching my kids succeed and work tirelessly day in and out to give them the confidence and knowledge they need to become the best version of themselves.

I know that with DonorsChoose.org, I will be able to continue to make our classroom a learning oasis.

My Project

In kindergarten, an essential part of learning and developing is building fine motor and social skills. These puzzles will do the trick for both! students can engage in learning while learning how to work together to solve the puzzles in front of them. I would like to create a puzzle center during my literacy and math block to give students the opportunity to work together and problem solve. I believe the puzzles I chose will help them learn and review skills that are necessary to be successful in school and in life.
