My Students

I am A Head Start teacher we serve a low-income community , my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

The children in my class are eager to learn and ready for new learning experiences, most of the children in my class are not exposed to different life experiences and some do not get to go outside of their community very often.

Our children love new hands on learning experiences and would benefit and thrive in an environment where those chances are provided for them.

My Project

The Philidelphia Zoo Mobile will come to our center to engage the children in a wonderful hands on learning experience. The children will be able to engae with the animals and learn about their habitats. The zoo mobile will bring several different kinds of animals and the children will get to explore each one. They will have a chnace to interact with them up close and pet and hold them if they choose. This will be a wonderful experience for the children to have, our children do not always have this kind of oppurntinty to see zoo animals up close and have the chance to interact with the zoo keeper and ask questions and explore learning.
