Help me give my students a focal place to work on Anchor Charts, Phonics, Shared Reading, and Writing. This Royal Reading Cart/Easel will give us a place to collect our ideas and store our reading materials.

I have a wonderful group of 1st graders this year. They are hard working and excited about learning. Many of them have not had the opportunity to travel to places like the mountains, beaches, museums, zoos, etc. That is why they are very dependent on the worldly experiences that reading books brings them. In our classroom we use Interactive Read Alouds and Shared Reading to help the students learn and grow vicariously through the characters in the books we read. Reading is at the heart of all we do and the students love it!
Our school day is all about learning. In our first grade classroom that means Reading (science and social studies are imbedded) and Math. Our reading block contains shared reading , an interactive read aloud time, phonics, guided reading, independent sustained reading and writing. Our math block contains number talks, calendar time, interactive math notebooks, and math content centers. All of these activities rely heavily on the use of anchor charts, pocket charts for shared reading poems, vocabulary, phonics cards, and math equations, books, puppets, pointers, flashcards, and other lesson support materials. Having a book cart/easel will give us a place to focus our lessons and store all of the materials as well. it would be a very exciting addition to our classroom!
