My Students

Every student has the right to read, but what if we cannot give them anything fun to put their hands on? Many remain bored and tired of the texts assigned, but it is difficult for an educator to assign interesting novels when the budget for the novels simply does not exist.

Please assist our classroom in purchasing a class set of novels.

The class set of novels to be purchased will challenge students to think about our current society while using their imagination and reading skills to travel to one of a different nature.

My Project

We are beginning our class novel The Outsiders soon and need new copies of our book which are now falling apart. We are seeking 30 copies of the paperback novel.

My 7th graders will discover the wonders of SE Hinton and the themes of her amazing novel such as class conflicts and loyalty.

We will write a graphic analytical essay using textual evidence and commentary after reading this novel. We will have a couple Socratic Seminars during the reading of this amazing book. Please help us!
