This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. We are a Title I school and service predominantly low income students. My students are amazing and excited to start a new school year.

When I arrived to this class they were so excited to be starting a book/novel study, but I only had one class set of books.

This will let me continue to continue book/novel studies with them for years to come.

My Project

As mentioned before my school is Title I school, and my students have a limited library at home. I would like to offer them the world through books.

Reading will help my students achieve better and bigger things in life.

I want to share this amazing opportunity we have in the USA. We have a free and equal education system. These books will hopefully open their minds to the whole world that awaits them.

Introducing my students to variety of class set of books and book studies has had amazing results.
