My Students

My Kindergarten class is full of unique personalities. My students are caring, creative, funny, playful, and curious. They enjoy interactive and hands-on learning experiences. Anything technology based intrigues them. They love to write and draw about a variety of experiences. There is high engagement any time a story is being read aloud. Dancing and playing games are two of their favorite class activities. I am helping foster life-long readers, effective writers, creative thinkers, empathic listeners, and a growth mindset in every child.

My Project

The Osmo gaming system fosters social intelligence and creative thinking by opening up endless possibilities of physical play. Students can explore, learn, create and interact with digital games with physical game pieces. This system will be used by students on a daily basis through my class stations to teach literacy and mathematics as well as foster creativity and problem solving skills. These materials will make a difference in my students learning by providing a higher motivation to engage in educational learning activities. Students will be more likely to persevere when faced with a challenge when the material is presented in a game-like form.
