The Only Thing Dated About Our Yearbook Is Technology! Pt 2
My students need new technology, such as a digital camera, a hot-shoe flash, and a portable scanner, to quickly capture and preserve high school memories for our yearbook as the time flies by!
Our high school yearbook has a new adviser, a new staff, and all we need is new technology! We are requesting upgraded technology, including a portable scanner, point-and-shoot camera, and fast-action flash to capture the best days of our educational careers.
Our school of approximately 900 students, in grades 7-12, is located in rural Louisiana.
Our area is considered a high-poverty area. Many students' parents work at a large, nearby military base. Our student population is very diverse. Some students have never visited a large city, others have lived overseas. Either way, they share something in common: they are experiencing the best years of their public education--high school!
They deserve to have their most memorable experiences highlighted in a fashionable work-of-art to be cherished for a lifetime.
The yearbook staff is ready for some big changes, making a vow to produce a modern, top-notch yearbook. We are ready to spend hours meticulously scrutinizing each page until perfection is achieved.
We may be from a small town, but we are ready to take pictures worthy of a Times Square display. We just need your help!
My Project
We are requesting a portable scanner, new point-and-shoot camera, and a fast-action flash to accompany our current Canon Rebel camera. Through generous offers, our first proposal for a new telephoto lens has been fulfilled.
From scanning baby photos of our seniors, to capturing the game-winning touchdown, this equipment will assist us with producing a yearbook that will serve as a time capsule for so many!
Besides improving the quality of our yearbook, this equipment will help the yearbook staff as well.
They will learn real-world, transferable skills to help them in the workplace. As advertisements sales dwindle during this recession, we are depending on the generosity of donors like you to help us maintain a high school tradition like no other, the yearbook.
