My Students

I would like for my students to improve their comprehension and fluency in reading. At the end of the year I would like for them to pass their EOG's, and learn to love reading. One day, I would like for them to go to college, and become life long learners.

My students are funny, fabulous, fantastic, fourth graders.

They love to talk and have a lot of energy. They enjoy learning and are very smart students. I love my school! It is Title I with mostly African Americans and Hispanic students. My school has a large number of staff and students.

My Project

My students will be engaging with these chapter books and magazines during guided reading. They will read the books with me one on one in their guided reading group. We will focus on different reading strategies like predicting, summarizing, and visualizing. Also, we will review different skills like author's purpose and cause and effect.

I would really appreciate this project for my classroom because my students enjoy reading and I would like to keep them interested in reading.

This will help my students gain the stamina that they will need for their EOG tests as well.
