My students are self-motivated to learn anything about everything! They question constantly to seek answers but also question those answers. They form opinions based on new learning and love to look for evidence. They are inspired daily to be better people from their families, friends, classmates, and school. The students in my class are driven to succeed and work hard to be the best that they can be. They are a joy and pleasure to work with and learn from. I team with other teachers and now can count over 90 students as my mine. They all work well together and love switching classes to experience different teachers and different class configurations.
My Project
I am teaching writing to 90 4th and 5th graders! They will use this MacBook to create and publish a school newspaper as well as a classroom newspaper! This computer is important because the newspapers will be filled with photographs and the online version will have video capabilities. The students will edit the videos in iMovie and add edited photographs using iPhoto. This computer is integral to allow them to have the technology they need. The students will also be able to research information, and type the newspapers on this MacBook. I will also be able to connect this computer to our classroom Apple TV and project the newspaper to the students so they can see the working document. They can then work in collaborative groups to provide feedback to that weeks' writers since they will be taking turns being the editors.
