Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have twenty-five first graders who are eager to learn. They love to come to school and the school year requires several supplies that will be used. Our school is a Title I elementary school in the California Bay Area. Supplies are in constant need of replenishing and donations from families are limited.
Children thrive with hands-on learning.
All of our students love to learn and I make it my goal to help them absolutely love coming to school each and every day.
My Project
Students need an organized classroom to lesson transition times and increase learning time.
Bags can be used for organization and various projects throughout the school year.
The ziplock bags will be used for various organizational needs in the classroom. Students will place their headphones in the bags, so germs will be less likely to spread. This will also give students responsibility for their own items. The larger ziplock bags will also be used for field trip lunches. Some field trips require all excess materials to be thrown away and/or recycled.
The white gift bags will be used for various projects throughout the school year. Students will be able to gift-wrap their holiday gifts to their families. Students will also decorate valentine gift bags. The bags will also be used to make dragon puppets for our Lunar New Year celebrations.
