The Mountain State Part 4: Building a Great Library Continues!

Help me give my students the opportunity to continue to experience West Virginia's unique history through more great books such as The Battle of Charleston and the 1862 Kanawha Valley Campaign!

My Project

In our eighth grade West Virginia Studies class, we are continuing our quest to learn as much as possible about our great state's history, culture, government, and politics. The books which have been acquired so far for our class library have gone a great way in enriching student learning on various subjects that our textbook and curriculum often just touch upon.

Assembling a comprehensive class library of books on any and all subjects related to West Virginia will allow my students to learn as much as possible about any topic related to our state they are interested in exploring.

The books included in this project will serve to continue offering students this wonderful learning opportunity. While there is an immense number of books written about all subjects related to our state, the books included in this project will allow students to explore a small sample of areas of interest including the Civil War, the West Virginia Mine Wars, sports in West Virginia, West Virginia's monsters and legends, and numerous other subjects.
