Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our fourth grade students come from an environment of hardship. My classroom is often one of the only safe places were they follow a routine and take control of their own learning. As a Title 1 school 100% of my students come from low income families. They often do not receive opportunities or experiences that affluent schools do. Although their home situations are often lacking in support, they come to school every day eager to learn and work hard. They see the importance in education and try their hardest to do good in school.
My Project
Your donations will enhance the possibility of the students learning. The books are vital for their students development and growth. Having a variety of books will allowed the students to go from their reading level to a higher one. They will have the opportunities to choose from different author's and types of literature, that will make them be engage in their reading. It will help expand their reading comprehension skills. It will also allowed them to supplement their knowledge in math concepts. It will make a great impact in their learning journey and support my teaching strategies. It will be a wonderful way to give them the experience and materials they need to exceed in their educational life as a fourth grader.
