My Students
My students come from a community school in a rural area. Our building has children ranging in grades from Preschool to the 8th grade. Our school is one big family. Every student at our school receives free or reduced breakfast and lunch. All of my students are bright, young, determined children who work hard daily and want to do their very best. My students are full of life and joy, they continue to amaze me every day.
My students are active, joyful children with smiling faces and loving attitudes.
My Project
My first grade students were given the opportunity to start the program Accelerated Reader. We have been doing the program for a month now and their reading abilities have improved tremendously. They have such a desire to read now, it is amazing. However, with all of my students participating in the program we are running low on books.
My students need more books in our classroom library in order for them to reach their reading goals. They are doing an amazing job and are so eager to read. I know having new and exciting books would only add to their excitement and desire to read.
