My Students

My students become my kids from 8:30 to 3:00. I have the privilege of watching them grow and guiding them along the way for 180 days. Second grade is a big transition year, when my students start becoming independent learners.

GSOTA has the most loving and caring school climate.

We have such an amazing community of families, teachers, neighbors and friends. Being a charter school, my students come from many different neighborhoods, often from towns in which their zoned schools are not able to offer them what they need. My students want to be here. They work hard and appreciate our wonderful school.

My Project

These guided reading level books for levels D, E, F and G will help my lower readers to have fun, exciting titles to enjoy.

All children deserve to experience the wonder of a great book!

These lower level books will put more variety in my library for the students who are not quite reading on a second grade level just yet.

I want my students to know that reading is the key to all learning and the better selection of literature I have, the more motivated they will be to engage in reading.
