Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach physical education in an elementary school. The range of the students is from kindergarten to fifth grade. The students come from low social-economical homes. Many of them do not comprehend that getting a good education is a way out of poverty. In spite of this, they are very enthusiastic and they are always eager to do physical activities.
Even when they are in their recess they are asking me for balls, ropes, and other supplies to spend their free time actively.
I used to lend them the things but after some time I realized that we were starting to have lack of things because little by little the supplies had been broken.
They are still asking me for supplies but since some weeks ago I can not do it anymore, and due to this they are not spending their free time in a healthy way.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go and when we are going to use it. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
Things like balls will be used during recess time.
He have a big area but we do not have supplies. The badminton rackets, hockey sticks and hurdles will be used in physical education classes. We need this material to be able to work all the contents we need to.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' willingness to spend their time in a healthier way.
