My Project

I am lucky enough to teach most of my students for two consecutive years. I teach an English program that works with a local community college to support students who otherwise might not find college attainable for them. I teach many ESL (English as a Second Language) students, as well as special education students, and students of color. I work with students as Juniors to give them extra support and practice to then tackle their first college level, dual credit English class with me as a senior. Teaching these students two years in a row allows me to develop strong, long-lasting relationships that I cherish. Seeing them find their confidence as scholars makes my job the best job in the world!

What better way to show my students how exciting reading can be with the books at the top of the best seller lists?

These books will show my students that they are cared for and deserve a new and modern books at their disposal. We work through independent reading projects twice a year, and these books will be a great addition to our classroom library.
