My Students

My classroom is in a suburban area, just outside of Pittsburgh. We challenge ourselves all year to learn, think, and act in a way that best benefits the individual and community around us.

I am blessed to have a class of creative and eager kindergartners who are excited to take their first steps into the wonderful world of education.

The excitement that my students show always pushes me to do my best as their educator to teach and inspire them each and every day.

My Project

Children today all need exposure to more than just reading and math to be prepared in today's world. They also need to be taught about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Careers in STEM, such as software developers, are on the rise and we must do all we can to better prepare students for these career options.

The programmable mouse and activity set will help students begin coding at a young and develop an interest in the field of technology.

It is simple enough that the students will be able to begin using it immediately, but has the potential to be used in numerous ways that incorporate other subject areas. I would use these materials to teach letters and numbers in new and exciting ways to will get children more involved in their education.
