This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class of 36 fifth graders are a group of diverse learners who all need something different from school. We also have a group of special needs students that join our class for reading. Our school is 100% free and reduced price lunch.

Our school is full of diverse, excited learners who need a wide range of resources to learn and my goal is to create a caring classroom community where my students feel valued and have a strong sense of belonging.

Reading Harry Potter gives my students an exciting and magical experience. My classroom is Harry Potter themed and the students love our Harry Potter read-aloud. However, my students would benefit from having their own copies of the book to follow along. We have the first and second book, but need the rest of the series. They are so excited to be reading Harry Potter!
