As we work to return to normalcy from the pandemic, we have been confronted with a difficult reality - our students are returning to school with very different experiences and levels of background and academic knowledge, and skills. I want to create a classroom that is inclusive to all students. A classroom where students with and without learning differences learn together. A classroom that is welcoming and supports the diverse academic, social, emotional, and communication needs of all students.
The markers, magnets, tape, and whiteboard erasers will motivate students to communicate their ideas and thinking in a fun creative way rather than paper and pencil.
The globe with a stand will help my students with comprehension and tactile learning as we learn about geography and the world around us. The globe will help students visualize where countries are in relation to one another, which isn't possible with a two-dimensional map. To motivate, engage, and promote a love for reading, I will use the book bins to hold leveled readers organized in various reading levels for students to choose from. I will use the presentation clicker to enhance Google slide lessons. The clicker will allow me to interact and assess my students informally as well as to assist those that may need quick one to one on the spot help. The spotlight feature will quickly allow me to point to important details in the presentation and magnify it to help with comprehension. The incentive stickers are a fun way to help promote self-esteem as well as motivate all students to complete their daily tasks.
