Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are dedicated, devoted, and caring. We are the first HOSA-JUMP Chapter in our school District (MUSD). JUMP: Junior Upcoming Medical Professionals. It’s a 6th to 8th-grade student-led organization designed to be a stepping-stone for students interested in entering the health science and medical field.
In our very first year of belonging to HOSA-JUMP Organization, we have participated in several community service activities such as Tooth Fairy Drive and Blood Drive.
My students are willing to put in long hours after school and on weekends to support and help our surrounding community. Your support in providing my students the necessary equipment would truly be appreciated.
My Project
Having the set of iPads would truly allow my students to venture into the various fields of Science. They could research many scientific topics, and become inspired. Students can look up real scientific pictures and be able to conduct their own science project. Another way they will be used is by recording the results of an experiment. Recently we are working on science fair projects and iPads would have been so helpful to us. Students could take pictures of their results at different time intervals and record observations through notes. My students are eager and willing to put in the extra time after school to conduct research and work on hands-on projects. I truly need these iPads to be able to incorporate STEM-based learning.
