I have an amazing group of kids! We have an enrollment of four hundred and seventy-five students, 328 of those are economically disadvantaged, 128 students are emergent English language learners, and we have 47 students in our SPED department with additional needs. We also serve 33 gifted students. I am privileged to explore music with all students enrolled and meet with kindergarten, first, second and third grade students twice each week. I get to see fourth and fifth grade students once a week. We are a diverse population as well. These materials will give them opportunities they would not otherwise have, as well as build teamwork, community and joy as we create music together.
We will wear lab coats, and goggles as we sing songs teaching the scientific method, solids, liquids, gasses, types of matter, how earthquakes occur, pulleys, levers, fulcrums, and continents.
