This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students vary each year, but one thing that they always have in common is their desire for learning. Many of my students come from low income families, and do not have the means to purchase things that will help them on their educational path. In spite of this, many of them strive to be the best version of themselves, and I am blessed to see them grow in this aspect throughout the year. My students love to learn through reading, technology, and experiences. We strive to become a little better at the end of each day.

My Project

Sometimes, it only takes one book for a student to find their love for reading. Many of my students love to read, and I know "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" will continue to nurture their love of the written word. On the other hand, some students have yet to find a book that excites them, and this may be the book they need to ignite their love of reading. This book is truly magical, and I know my students will love it as much as I do! From an educational perspective, it can be tied to important content such as vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing styles/genres, and much more. On top of this, it is an exciting, beautifully written work that I know my students will remember for years to come!
