Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at the tip of Texas in a Title I school, where 95% of our students are economically disadvantaged. Each one is a special individual coming from a different background.
A typical day in my classroom begins with my students walking in with a huge smile on their faces eager to begin their day no matter the obstacles they face.
As their teacher, my goal is to provide my students with genuine 21st century experience and help them reach their full potential! Therefore, I feel honored to be part of their learning journey.
My Project
My students need to integrate technology into their daily curriculum. Many of them do not have iPads or electronic devices at home. My students need to have access to the most up to date resources. With this project, my 5th graders will learn how to use iPads as a tool to succeed. They will have the opportunity to read digital books, practice their fluency, and play fun, educational math games such as Education Galaxy. I can't wait to see my students transform into a technological environment.
Please help me get them the tools they need to succeed as 21st century learners.
