My Students

My students come to music class excited and ready to make music! I teach elementary music at a Title I school where over 80% of my students are socio-economically disadvantaged. I enjoy seeing my students develop as young musicians. These students take on new learning challenges with excitement and joy!

I want to inspire my students to embrace an attitude of lifelong learning!

Music offers a perfect opportunity to experience the joy of learning new things at any age. There are so many ways to explore a subject area like music. Whether singing, playing instruments, listening, or researching various styles and genres of music, I want my students to be curious learners in the classroom and in their community.

My Project

Magic happens when pipe cleaners turn into musical notes, finger puppets sing songs with you, and crayons bring color to the music you write! Additional details like a wireless clicker to advance the slides of a presentation help keep class moving along so we don't miss any magical moments.

All the little details in a classroom can add up to big fun!

Please help me bring more magic to the music room for my students! All of the extra touches like animal finger puppets, fresh crayons, a remote clicker so the teacher can circulate through the room, and pipe cleaners that students can shape into music notes for a music note "art gallery" make music class active and lively. It's great to have my students back in the classroom together, and I want every moment to be magical!
