Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title I school that services many different levels of student needs. We offer programs to our students that are not available to them outside of school. Students have more interest in participating in physical education lessons when decent equipment is made available.
Students love to play sports!
Our school is very supportive of the different programs that our physical education department has to offer. We try hard to make sure all physical education equipment is modified and ready to use whenever students need it.
My Project
This new equipment will make a difference in my students' lives! They will be able to use their fundamental motor skills and patterns (throwing, catching, walking, running, stretching, etc) with this new equipment.
When students are active in PE, it also fosters their emotional, moral, and social development.
The ball bungees, soft baseball bats, velcro gloves for catching with velcro balls will allow students to participate more.
Many of my students enjoy PE, but find some of the equipment difficult to participate. I want to foster a love for PE class with having new equipment in the gym that can be used by all participants.
