My students need a class set of The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I feel that novel studies set a strong foundation for literacy throughout their life.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
We start each day with activity learning. We usually use gonoodle to get our brains and bodies moving. Movement helps oxygen get to the brain and helps us to be better thinkers!
My students are funny and eager to share stories.
They love to read, and I want to help them keep their love! I have a diverse group of students who are very supportive of each other. I love watching them collaborate and encourage each other throughout their learning.
We use text book readers to teach fundamental reading techniques. However, we do not have class sets of books. My students need a class set of The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder. These students only read novels on their own. They do not know how to properly analyze literature in the context of a novel. I hope to further their love of reading through explicit instruction in novel analysis.
Books are expensive.
While I have personally paid for a class set of "Charlotte's Web", I can not fund the purchase of other novel class sets. I want to expose my students to classic literature. However, that comes at a price neither my district nor myself can afford.
