My Students

My 170 seventh graders are a lively, excitable, righteous bunch! They love TikTok and Manga. They love big ideas and big dreams! They love to argue and try out big words. Their families come from places like South Lake Tahoe and El Salvador.

These 12-13 year olds are zany and shy.

They are sensitive and brash. They are the perfect humans with real hurts, fears, and hopes.

They are trying to keep their hearts open so they can help shape this world into something EVEN MORE beautiful. They have a deep sense of what is right and a deep sense of adventure. They are hopeful humans.

My Project

So many important things for our class! We are creating an amazing high-interest library in our classroom!! With that we are in need of some supplies to help support it. We have digitized our class library and need scanners to check out books. There is a remote clicker that will help me create proximity to students as I teach lessons. Also, the kids' chromebooks need charging stations, so those that listen to audiobooks don't lose power! We need earbuds to plug them into those audiobooks and, as always, we would love MORE books that excite and inspire us! All of these little pieces make a BIG difference to US!
